As Australia’s life sciences accelerator, MTPConnect is committed to growing our healthtech sector, spanning medtech, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and digital health. Since 2022, the South Australian Government has supported us to act as an intermediary, offering a range of services and activities focused on the local ecosystem.
Our SA team is dedicated to delivering bold results, working with stakeholders across the entire innovation pipeline, from research discovery to companies scaling. As part of our national team, they benefit by tapping into our connections across Australia and the globe.
We act as an agent or broker between parties in the innovation process – ultimately, seeking to deliver health and economic impact. We work with a range of stakeholders and organisations, from innovators and entrepreneurs to multinational companies, service providers and government.
Our goal is to accelerate the growth of South Australia’s healthtech sector by empowering the ecosystem. Our role as an intermediary is to promote South Australia’s capabilities, facilitate connections, build capacity, and foster a culture where innovation thrives.
Leveraging our local and national team, we facilitate strategic connections to support translational activity and raise South Australia’s global profile. Our team takes a bespoke approach, depending on the type and stage of the innovation. We thrive on connecting companies to the latest research and manufacturing capabilities, entrepreneurs to investment and mentors, global partners to local innovators… The list of connecting opportunities goes on. We’re happy to meet with you, explore your needs, provide advice and guidance, and facilitate warm leads. As an independent intermediary, we’re here to broker relationships that progress innovations and company development, and support ongoing partnerships that build our local ecosystem.
When it comes to capacity building we are focused on two key areas: attracting funding into South Australia and developing our local workforce. To that end, we support grants, investments and training activities.

If you’ve got a big vision for South Australia that is state-wide and future focused, we can facilitate engagement across the sector and connect with national and international activities.
