MTPConnect recently celebrated a major milestone producing the 200th podcast episode. ‘Why Space Matters For Advancing Life Sciences Research’
The episode was produced as part of the SA’s Insights Series event “What’s Your Place in Space’, celebrating Australian Space Week in Adelaide, featuring leading Australian superstars working at the intersection of space and health technologies.
The special guests include Australia’s first astronaut, Katherine Bennell-Pegg, Director of Space Technology at the Australian Space Agency, Aerospace medicine specialist Prof. Gordon Cable from Human Aerospace, ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space’s COO Dr Richard Harvey and Cambrian Defence & Space’s CEO, Tiffany Sharp.
The session takes you into Space to discover the benefits of microgravity for health and medical research and its real-world applications. Can we use space technology to advance medical discoveries to improve health here on earth? And should we be doing more to connect our life science sector innovators into Australia’s space research sector?
This milestone episode featured our first interview with an Astronaut – among the 400+ guests who have been part of this sector-first 7 year podcast series!
We hope you think the episode is ‘out of this world’!
