Preparing for Partnering

Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a seasoned pro, the Preparing for Partnering sessions will provide valuable insights and tips to make the most out of global conferences and meetings designed for partnering. The two-part series includes ‘ Planning for a Productive Conference‘ and ‘ Pitching to your Audience‘.

In these sessions, we’ll focus on:

  • setting your partnering objectives
  • identifying your target prospects
  • creating a compelling online presence (using the BIO Partnering Platform as an example)
  • communicating to prospects to secure a meeting
  • scheduling meetings in BIO
  • Your audience (Big Pharma, investors and partners), what they are seeking and what they expect
  • Slide decks, what to cover and how to tailor for different meetings
  • Your presentation and engagement style
  • Sticky stories
  • Effective follow-up to convert leads to opportunities

Practice your Pitch

This is an interactive session. After listening to a short presentation, you’ll be placed on a table hosted by an industry expert. One member of the group will have the opportunity to practice their pitch, while the others play the roles of associates and prospective partners. This experience will give you valuable insights and tips to hone your own presentations.

During this workshop you’ll also get a chance to try out the less rehearsed pitch, the short ‘elevator pitch’ that you’ll likely use at an event or networking interaction. This will be an opportunity for you to gain confidence in selling your story to quickly gain interest.

Industry Experts

A curated line-up of guest speakers will share their knowledge, experience and tips, to help you get that next meeting.
