To be successful, Australian life science companies need to develop their products for global markets. International connections are critical to understanding market opportunities and the development, regulatory and reimbursement requirements needed to enter these markets.

MTPConnect has developed a program of international conference delegations, site visits and activities for 2026 to help you and your company access international markets and global supply chains.

Our international activities are backed by strategic cooperation agreements in priority markets and are focused on putting you in front of international customers and investors.

They also promote the strengths and capabilities of Australian medical technology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and digital health innovators to the world.

We encourage you to start planning your international outreach activities and budgets and add these dates to your diary for 2026!

We look forward to working with you to build international alliances and market entry strategies.

You will find further details below on all the activities, including information about joining a webinar “Why attend BIO Middle East” on 5 February 2026.

MTPConnect-Led Conference Delegations/ Events

BIO-Europe Spring – Lisbon, Portugal

Site Visit Program Switzerland, 19 -20 March 2026

Austrade and Global Victoria are leading a delegation to BIO-Europe Spring in Lisbon, Portugal which is Europe’s largest springtime Health and Life Sciences partnering event, attracting over 3,700 attendees across the biotechnology sector to identify, engage, and enter into strategic relationships that drive their businesses forward.

MTPConnect is seeking expressions of interest from start-ups, universities and research institutes, service providers and government to attend a two-day site visit program in Switzerland, prior to the conference in Lisbon. Please note, there is a clash of dates with ACTI events in Germany, so this site visit program will be tailored for organisations listed above and will be similar in delivery to MTPConnect’s popular site visit program hosted annually at BIO. We will meet with multinational biotech/ pharmaceutical companies, incubators and investors during the program.

Expressions of interest close 31 January 2026, whereupon we will make a final decision if the site visit goes ahead.
