Almost 250 innovators, entrepreneurs, leaders, researchers, healthcare service providers & changemakers attended APPLAUSE24 last night to celebrate the successes of our sector!
This year’s theme was EMPOWERMENT, inspiring us to uplift one another and embrace our collective strength.
Here’s a snapshot of our celebrations:
– Guests were treated to a refreshing welcome at the CMAX Clinical Research Lounge.
– MC and newly appointed Head of Commercialisation and CEO of UniSA Ventures, Dr Michelle Perugini, encouraged everyone to forge new connections.
– Novartis Australia & New Zealand Country Head Public Affairs, Michelle Gregory emphasised the critical role of partnerships in healthcare.
– The Hon. Chris Picton, MP, expressed confidence in the state’s robust healthcare sector and the importance of attracting and retaining top talent to advance healthcare delivery, improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
MTPConnect Chair, the Hon. Jaala Pulford shared the impact of the AdelaideIntermediaryProgram. In its third year and supported by the Government of South Australia, Jaala acknowledged the significant impact being made by the team, led by Director Dana Bell.
In just under three years the AIP team have:
– Connected with 500 organisations & 1800 people
– Facilitated 730 valuable business connections
– Trained 758 stakeholders in commercialisation capabilities
– Identified 80 funding opportunities, supporting over $39M of funding coming into SA
– Hosted more than 90 events to connect and uplift the sector
– At the Radium Capital Cocktail Bar, creative cocktails and lively conversations created the perfect vibe.
– FB Rice’s Ice Cream Cart served delicious, handcrafted ice cream.
– The smooth tunes of His ’n’ Hers 3-piece jazz band.
– An enthusiastic crowd enjoyed the 360-degree video booth, striking poses & sharing laughs! We’ll share them soon!
Empowerment is not just a concept; it’s a powerful reality that transforms lives and inspires change! We celebrated 29 extraordinary individuals who were nominated as “Empowerers” within our state’s health sector!
